History/About
The Rhino Bar started as a concept idea to become the only bar on
a street full of restaurants.
La Bamba Café & Bar was an existing
business on Palmer Street being a small run down café/bar
which was located on the at the entrance of the street. La Bamba
was purchased in November 2003.
With the right location and huge potential to
turn nothing into something, Shawn Andersen acquired the business
and lease and spent some money. The renovation included gutting
the building and starting from scratch, with this in mind the building
process was involved and precise trying to produce a product that
would suit any person of any age at any time of the year whilst
serving wonderful food and beverages. The renovation took 6 weeks
and the finished product turned out beautiful.

kids, to families, to the younger market wanting to enjoy a drink
